The two primary dynamics at work with Real Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds are true subscribers and those who skim for specific content.
True subscribers are those that wish to read new content from your site or new content specifically created by an individual writer.
Specific content subscribers want information on a specific topic. RSS feeds can skim to locate topics that are compatible with the subscriber’s preference settings irregardless of original writer.
RSS readers are available for less than $30 and in some cases may be free with certain existing software applications.

Podcasting or to some the Ipod Broadcasting, is an evolving technology that a lot of people are getting crazy about at this time. With the merging of various technological advancements, like the use of an MP3 file created on a specified audio format file that is uploaded onto a server where Really Simple Syndication gets in to relay the downloading of the audio file to anyone’s PC. The entire process of it may have looked like it is so complicated but in reality it is not. Starting your own podcast is as easy as learning your first few alphabets.

You may have a great topic for your podcast, and great content, but for a podcast to be its best, you should come up with a specific format for your show and, for the most part, stick to it.
There are many things that make up the format of a podcast. The two that I’ll cover in this article are the parts, or segments that make up a podcast, and the style you decide upon.
Segments: If you listen to a radio show you’ll often hear news at the top of the hour, then sports, then weather, back into music for a several minutes, then a commercial break, a listener’s phone call, back into music, etc.

So far in our “traffic” series, we’ve discussed using blogs to get traffic to your squeeze page, and getting traffic to your blog. We also covered article distribution. This time, I’d like to touch on podcasting, another great way to get traffic and be list building. What is podcasting? It’s a recorded message that can be done whenever you feel like creating a podcast or regularly, as in the form of a radio show. If you hate to write, podcasting is definitely an alternative to writing articles and blogging.
