I just listened to the very first podcast from PC Pro magazine – it was an interesting discussion based on the age old question, “Which are better, Macs or PCs?”
After a pragmatic and rational analysis, the Mac was shot down and the PC won the argument soundly. But can you really answer this sort of question with a discussion. To me its sort of reminiscent to when as kids we would argue over who would win in fight between the Incredible Hulk and Superman. It’s obviously a question of personal tastes and we’re all different. Sort of like having a serious debate whether the Rolling Stones were better than the Beatles?

Data and time are your most important assets. Once you lose access to data, you lose time. And time is money in business. Fact is that it takes about 30 hours to rebuild 20MB of data, and it costs about £50 000.
The Shocking Truth
You need to ask yourself the following questions: Do you back up data daily? Have you specifically delegated someone to ensure a daily backup of data? Is he or she adequately qualified to do so? Are the backup tapes stored securely off-site, and will these tapes prove reliable if and when you need to restore the data?

At home I have a computer with no anti-virus or software firewall installed on it. My computer rarely slows down or crashes, and my anti-spyware applications only report Internet cookies as problems. I don’t recommend that anyone go without an anti-virus, anti-spyware, and software firewall installed, but those tools will only work properly if you let them. This article will describe how to work with those tools to keep your computer clean of viruses and spyware.

It has the ability to produce and store a wide variety of high quality documents, play top quality games, download and run films, utilize the internet and also run business quality software essential for presentations and productivity in the modern business world. The most impatiently awaited creation of the last 10 years hit the shelves of shops throughout the North America in June ‘07. Unlike normal Apple unveilings, the iPhone had a massive pre-launch build up. In the prior weeks there were movies disseminating on Google videos of Steve Jobs’ early unveiling. Normally this doesn’t happen such a long time before an unveiling.
Job’s presentation caused a vast buzz – every single aspect of the presentation video clip was dissected with the exactness you’d expect from a crime scene investigation. I remember seeing one clip on the ‘net that was dissecting the iPhone’s icons using freeze frame stills to try and guess what capabilities the creation might have.

Whether you have the best computer or worst everyone that owns a computer sees and knows about computer problems. That’s why there is a thing called tech support so people that don’t know how to fix there computers can call someone and have them come out and work on it.
Even though every computer comes with a help file normally they are having problems outside of what the help file can assist you with. Even though there is a help file within the operating system it still will most likely be outside of what it is going to be able to help you with. These help files are not just made for simple problems but are also good to newbie’s in the computer world. The average person does not know a whole lot about computers.

The scary reality about computer crashes is that the warning signs are few—if they exist at all—and even when you know what to look for, these signs can be very difficult to detect.
For this reason, computer backup is necessary every day, because it’s near impossible to know if, or when, your hard drive is at risk of an imminent crash.
I often hear prospective clients say dismissively: “Well, I just bought this computer not too long ago—it’s practically brand new—so I don’t need to worry about backup just yet.”

Notebooks are as accessible as they are useful, and the range available can make buying a product time consuming and complicated. Of course, before buying any laptop a consumer should be aware of the quality and advantages of the investment. For this reason, many devices are bought from high street retailers, where assistants can provide advice and provide demonstrations. Although it can be useful to be able to walk into a shop and view the product, there is a shift in the way that notebooks are being purchased. This is because buying online provides all the usual benefits, but there are also many further advantages to be gained.

Here’s a list of things everybody should know before they start to build a computer, but often wind up learning the hard way.
Number 1: Learn how to add up the voltage requirements for all the components that go in your PC. It’s the only way to make sure your computer’s power supply will be big enough. There are some websites that can help you with this. As a start, consider this: a top end CPU will require 65 to 100 watts all by itself. A “hot” graphics card needs nearly as much. Remember, an undersized power supply can mean a smoked PC!
