Making Money Online While You Sleep - Wake Up To A Better Bank Balance
So how can you make money using this internet thing so that you can retire to a life of free time and enough cash to live your dreams?
There are many ways to make the internet pay. Here are a just a few of the more easy and common methods that anyone can use to set up an online presence and actually make money in the process.
- Sell your own products or services
- Sell other peoples products or services – affiliate marketing
- Online auctions – E-Bay
- Network marketing
- Online advertising – Pay-Per-Click advertising for driving people to your affiliate site
- Articles – either as a freelance author or using other article writers to write about your product or service.
Remember these are just a few methods I’ve found off the top of my head. What I want to focus on here is what I think is the easiest and quickest way to making some good money online, with the least out of pocket expense.
Affiliate Marketing
In a nutshell, all you need to do with this business model is to find a product that has been well written, that you understand and use, and that has offers a good commission for referring people to purchase the same product. You get paid by driving traffic (people) to the author’s sales page. Then, they do the rest. If the sale is completed, you get paid a commission. It’s that simple.
I’ve found the best type of products for selling online are “Informational Products”, or what are referred to as e-books. They satisfy the greatest human need of our generation – the “must have it now” mentality. No shipping or costly warehousing as they are just downloaded from the internet straight to the end customer. Finally, they satisfy exactly what the internet was set up for – information. People want information. There will always be a market for information products, so this is where I recommend you begin. Remember, you don’t need to write your own e-book (unless you are an expert in some area). You just need to find a good e-book or e-course that you are interested in, and that has an affiliate program connected to it. Check out www.clickbank.com. They offer a good source of affiliate products with details on commission rates and sales stats.
Once you have a product selected, it’s a good idea to register a domain name for yourself. You don’t have to have it hosted (i.e. actually putting web pages on the Internet), you just need to have your domain redirected to your affiliates sales page. This means that when someone enters the address into their browser, they will land on your sales page. You can buy a cheap domain name at www.godaddy.com.
Next, get yourself a BLOG at www.blogger.com and write a review of your affiliate product. This review is to be used as a pre-sell page. You can send your readers and prospects there to get a feel for what you are all about and get comfortable with you before you hit them with your affiliates sales page. This is important. Make sure you pre-sell with your experiences on this page before you sell them.
Once your prospects are warmed up, they will not feel too intimidated by a small link in your pre-sell page and a call to check it out by clicking it.
Then, as you write your articles, use keywords taken straight out of your affiliate product itself. Go through the product highlighting possible keywords. Then write your articles about these keywords. Send these readers back to your blog to review your experiences with the product, then if they click through to your sales page, you will have a far greater signup rate, and therefore, more commission cheques for you.
