Online Network Marketing 101 - On The Job Experiences Written By A Newbie
This is intended to speak to the average working men and women who are trying to sort through the hundreds if not thousands of internet marketing sites and offers.
I have been there, in fact I just left ‘there’ not too long ago. Man, there is so much to consider when evaluating all the online business models! How do you determine what is real vs. a scam, and then is it for you? Can you see yourself doing the things needed to build online business xyz? Can you afford the initial overhead before you see revenues?
Whether you are a network marketing veteran or a newbie, the internet has changed the way network marketing is done. The first obvious change is that you now have the big ole’ WWW to market to, far beyond your warm market lists of friends and family! I’d call that a positive. But here is an equally daunting challenge-attracting people that want what you have to offer. Standing out in a crowd…having them see your lone tree in the forest. No pun intended, as this is a major challenge. One I am solving right now.
My mentors have told me that I am in need of a few things, one of which is a web presence (not just a web site!). In other words, personal branding Forrest Bivens. Making it easier for people to not only view my business but also find out more about me. Immediately that made complete sense since I would rather do business with someone that I am familiar with vs. the opposite.
So to that end, this is me-an average 47 year old working stiff. I have a great paying career in the children’s safety publication industry. My “significant other” and I live together and enjoy our lives. Born in the U.S, I now reside in Canada. Money isn’t the issue nor is it the reason I have embarked down this path…the root reason is deep down inside if me. I have always wanted to be my own navigator, so to speak. Let me rephrase that-always NEEDED to! Which has been the driving force behind three previous network marketing endeavors. From building an organization to “sell soap” (one guess as to which company that was with!), to air purification machines, to a health improving juice (this last one was mainly to support a friends business), I have some experience. I’m not afraid to pursue my dream. I just needed to find the true fit for me and part of that was finding true mentors with success in that field. Ones who are capable and willing to lead me thru the initial start up phase and that I could call on consistently and get specific direction on strategies that work and don’t work.
I found them…and off we go! I’ll update you on my progress. In the meantime for all you curiosity driven folks you can begin to do your own evaluating of what I do at the link below. It may or may not be for you…
